A2B-online launches its first methanol dual-fuel vessel

Dutch shortsea shipping company A2B-online has launched the first of two methanol dual-fuel container vessels being built at SEDEF Shipyard in Tuzla, Türkiye.

The 650 TEU ship, A2B Vision, is designed to run on both methanol and conventional marine fuels. It is scheduled to enter service in mid-2026, with its sister vessel, A2B Progress, to follow shortly after.

The company has yet to disclose deployment details for the newbuilds.
