The delivered biofuel stem consisted of a blend of 24% used cooking oil (UCO)-based biofuel and 76% VLSFO.
This operation marked the first biofuel bunker delivery in Türkiye, according to Arkas Bunker.
Biofuel blends can help reduce carbon emissions from a ship's operation, without requiring modifications to the vessel's fuel system, Arkas Line's CEO Can Atalay said.
