The biofuel stem was supplied when the vessel, YM Inventive, was berthed at the Kumport container terminal in Istanbul, Turkey. The B24 blend contained 24% biofuel and 76% conventional marine fuel, most likely VLSFO. The bio-feedstock used for blending was not disclosed by the company.
Last month, Arkas Bunker supplied a B24 biofuel stem to the container vessel Matilde A, operated by Arkas Line, a subsidiary of Arkas, at Turkey’s Marport terminal.
