Asian shipping quartet orders five more LNG ships for QatarEnergy
A consortium of Japan's Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK) and Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K Line), Malaysia's MISC, and China LNG Shipping have ordered five more liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers for Qatar's state energy company QatarEnergy.

Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding will construct the 174,000-cbm dual-fuel LNG carriers. The vessels will feature low-speed dual-fuel engines, which would help to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, NYK says.
Delivery of these vessels is scheduled between 2025 and 2026.
QatarEnergy will deploy these vessels to transport LNG across the world.
The consortium ordered seven LNG carriers of the same make from Hyundai Heavy Industries in South Korea in August this year for the QatarEnergy's fleet expansion project.
