The 5,350-dwt vessel, Electramar, is equipped with battery technology and shore power capabilities. The vessel was built at Chowgule Shipyard in India.
The vessel will emit “50% less CO2 emissions compared to present generation of vessels,” AtoB@C Shipping claims.
Apart from Electramar, the company has five more vessels currently under construction at Chowgule Shipyard.
Electramar is slated to be delivered in autumn of this year. Following that, one vessel will be delivered every three months, with the last delivery expected in the second quarter of 2026.
