Avenir LNG ordered the two 20,000-cbm vessels from Chinese shipbuilder Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering last year.
The second vessel, Avenir Allegiance, was launched at the shipyard on 12 October, according to the company's LinkedIn post, and is expected to join Avenir LNG's fleet next year.
Its sister vessel, Avenir Ambition, was launched in July and is scheduled for delivery by the end of this year. It will enter service under a charter agreement with energy trader Vitol.
Avenir LNG currently operates five LNG bunker vessels, offering ship-to-ship, ship-to-truck and ship-to-terminal deliveries, according to its website.
Norwegian shipping and logistics group Stolt-Nielsen acquired full ownership of Avenir LNG, through its subsidiary Stolt-Nielsen Gas, last year.
Japanese shipping company Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK Line) subsequently acquired a 50% stake in Avenir LNG from Stolt-Nielsen Gas in September 2026. The two companies now jointly own and operate the bunker supplier.
