Avenir LNG to fuel bunker vessel with LBM

UK-based bunker supplier Avenir LNG will run its LNG bunker vessel on 100% liquefied biomethane (LBM) from 1 April through the end of the year.

The company claims that the switch can reduce its overall CO2 emissions by over 3,500 mt/year.

Avenir LNG offers physical delivery of LNG and LBM across north-west Europe.

“The majority of customers are ferries, container vessels and product tankers in Scandinavia and the Baltic Sea region,” the company said.
