The fuel was supplied to the Mediterranean Shipping Company’s container ship MSC Gabon by LNG bunker vessel, Avenir Aspiration.

“The successful operation confirms Malaga as a strategic hub for the supply of alternative fuels in the Mediterranean,” Malaga port authority said.

Last month, Axpo carried out its first ship-to-ship LBM bunkering in the Spanish port of Algeciras.
