Biofuel Bunker Snapshot: POMEME and UCOME barge prices surge in the ARA
ARA’s B30-LSMGO price crosses $1,000/mt
Feedstock prices jump in the ARA
Chinese UCOME demand remains subdued

Rotterdam
A $36/mt rise in Prima Markets’ assessed POMEME barge price has contributed to push up Rotterdam’s HBE-rebated B30-VLSFO benchmark by $23/mt over the past week. The Prima-assessed Dutch HBE rebate for marine B30 has fallen by $9/mt, which has also added upward pressure on the price.
The increase has partly been capped by a $9/mt decline in ENGINE’s VLSFO benchmark.
The HBE rebate for marine B100 has decreased by $30/mt over the past week. This has contributed to push Rotterdam’s B100 price up by $19/mt in the same period, to $1,125/mt.
Prima’s ARA UCOME barge price has moved in the same direction, rising by $36/mt on the week.
Across the ARA region, B30-LSMGO (UCOME) has tracked the gains, with a $40/mt increase in the past week, to reach $1,022/mt. Its B30-VLSFO (UCOME) grade has posted a much smaller $9/mt gain, with the rise limited by the drop in the VLSFO price.
Singapore
Singapore’s UCOME-based B30-VLSFO and B30-LSMGO prices have gained by $18–26/mt over the past week.
The increases have been influenced by a $15/mt rise in Prima’s UCOME FOB China benchmark and $5–19/mt rises in the port’s conventional fuel prices.
“Chinese UCOME market continues muted streak,” Prima reported. The price reporting agency has not seen any “firm trades” for the feedstock, citing “continued sluggish demand”.
Freight for UCOME cargoes moving from China to Singapore has inched lower by $0.75/mt in the past week.
