UCOME freight to Singapore climbs to multi-month high

Rotterdam’s HBE-rebated B30-VLSFO and B30-LSMGO prices have fallen by $23–32/mt over the past week. Its B30-LSMGO price has plunged $107/mt lower in the past month.

The declines have come amid a sharp $34/mt drop in Prima Markets’ assessed ARA POMEME barge price and $15-34/mt drops in conventional VLSFO and LSMGO benchmarks.

The broader ARA region’s B30-LSMGO UCOME benchmark has declined by $36/mt, tracking a $34/mt fall in Prima’s ARA UCOME barge price.

Singapore

Singapore’s B30-VLSFO has gained by $7/mt, but its B30-LSMGO price has lowered by $18/mt on the week.

Prima’s UCOME FOB China assessment has remained unchanged on the week, and port’s B24 prices have mostly been influenced by $8-24/mt declines in the port’s VLSFO and LSMGO benchmarks.

The freight rate for UCOME cargoes from China to Singapore – up another $3/mt on the week – has climbed to highest level of $25.25/mt since May 2024.
