Bunker Suite completes first eBDn trial with Verde Marine

Bunker Suite has trialled a first electronic bunker delivery note (e-BDN) with bunker supplier Verde Marine.

An e-BDN is a digital version of the standard BDN that records key details such as the quantity, grade and sulphur content of the fuel supplied.

Verde Marine supplied a stem to the Lady Clara, a vessel operated by Vertom. An e-BDN was issued after the bunker operation on 19 October.

The e-BDN trial was conducted onboard Vertom's vessel Lady Clara during a bunker operation on 19 October.

Bunker Suite will now present the e-BDN results to the Port of Rotterdam, and plans to roll out e-BDNs across the ARA region and beyond.

E-BDN adoption has picked up in recent years, as it can significantly cut manual paperwork, saving both time and paper, and also reduce human errors.
