Around five armed persons boarded the vessel on 25 March, according to Maritime Domain Awareness for Trade – Gulf of Guinea (MDAT-GoG).

Monjasa Reformer currently remains undetected and has stopped transmitting AIS data, it added.

The last known position of the vessel was 470 nm from the spot where it was hijacked, EOS Risk said. According to AIS data, Monjasa Reformer made the last port call in Douala port in Cameroon on 12 March.

The Monjasa Reformer has supplied VLSFO in Lagos.
