The 230,000-gross tonnage vessels will be powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) along with conventional marine fuels, Carnival said.

The vessels are scheduled to be delivered by the Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri between 2029 and 2033. After these ships are delivered in 2033, Carnival's fleet will consist of 16 LNG-powered ships, including eight cruise ships, Carnival added.
