According to Centrica Energy, this certification enables it to offer compliant bio-LNG at any ISCC-certified LNG terminal across the European Union and will be done via a virtual liquefaction route.
Bio-LNG is a renewable liquefied fuel made from organic waste-derived biomethane and used as a lower-carbon alternative to conventional LNG.
ISCC is a globally recognised certification system, covering sustainable biomass, biofuels, and renewable gases.
The company also added that the certification strengthens its ability to supply bio-LNG to the maritime and road transport sectors.
