CMA CGM takes delivery of LNG dual-fuel container ship

French shipping company CMA CGM has taken delivery of the first in a series of four LNG dual-fuel container ships being built by China’s Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding.

The 24,000 TEU vessel, CMA CGM Seine, can run on both LNG and conventional marine fuels.

It has been classified by Bureau Veritas (BV), with advisory services provided by BV Solutions Marine & Offshore (BVS), a BV subsidiary.

However, CMA CGM has not revealed the vessel’s deployment plans or the delivery timeline for the remaining three ships.
