All inbound traffic resumed on Saturday as weather conditions improved after a disruption lasting around two days, shipping agent A Mateos & Sons said.

The disruption has created supply backlogs, with around 23 vessels awaiting bunkers at the port as of Monday morning, port agent MH Bland said.

Most bunker suppliers in Gibraltar are running about 12 hours behind schedule, MH Bland added.

Inbound traffic remains suspended in the neighbouring Algeciras port, while Ceuta port is fully operational, the port agent said.

Rough winds and high swells are forecast intermittently in the area between 24-31 March, which could cause further disruptions at ports in the Strait of Gibraltar.
