The Port of Corpus Christi’s Inner Harbour and Ship Channel were closed at 3 p.m. local time on Sunday and are expected to stay shut until 9 a.m. local time on 28 October 2025.
During this period, vessel movements and port operations within the affected areas are suspended. Normal activities are expected to resume once the work is completed and the channel is reopened at the scheduled time, a ship agent said.
The port is one of the key ports on the US Gulf Coast in Texas, serving as a major hub for crude oil exports and energy shipments.
