Corvus Energy gets approval for marine battery system

Classification society Lloyd’s Register (LR) has approved Norwegian marine technology firm Corvus Energy's marine battery system.

The modular battery energy system is designed for both hybrid-electric and all-electric maritime applications, particularly for small vessels such as ferries, yachts, canal boats, tourist vessels and sightseeing vessels.

It has also received approval from classification societies Bureau Veritas and DNV.
