The LNG-capable container ship Tiscapa started sailing on 10 July. It has a container capacity for 1,400 TEUs (20-foot equivalent units), including 300 refrigerated units.

The ship departed from the Port of Jacksonville, Florida, for its first commercial voyage in the Caribbean Basin.

Following a transition period, the Tiscapa will start sailing regularly between the US, Dominican Republic and Central America.

Its sister ships Quetzal and Copán operate between El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua.

Crowley expects to take delivery of the Torogoz next month, which will be the fourth and final ship in this LNG-capable container ship series.
