The earthquake damaged docks in Iskenderun port, which is located in southeast Turkey near the Syrian border, according to the general directorate at Turkey’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure. Other ports have not been impacted by the earthquake and they continue to operate normally, it said.
Turkish energy firm Botas said that it has suspended gas flows to affected areas of Turkey's southernmost Hatay province. No damages were detected on a crude pipeline in the area during an initial inspection, it added.
