EcoCeres and partners supply first HVO stem in Singapore

Renewable fuel producer EcoCeres has partnered with energy trading firm Mitsui & Co. Energy Trading Singapore to deliver 400 mt of hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO)-based biofuel to a cruise ship in Singapore.

This supply marks EcoCeres’ first HVO stem in Singapore. The company did not disclose the name of the cruise line, or the vessel receiving the stem.

The delivery was carried out by an IMO Type II chemical tanker owned by Global Energy, EcoCeres added.

The renewable fuel has been derived “exclusively from pure waste materials,” EcoCeres said.
