The 174,000 cbm LNG carrier will be fitted with a dual-fuel engine capable of running on both conventional fuel and LNG.
The vessel will be built by Hanwha Ocean at its Geoje (Okpo) yard in South Korea and will join Edison’s fleet from 2028.
The company has not yet disclosed the vessel’s name or its intended deployment area.
The deal extends a partnership that began in 2018, when the two companies collaborated on the 30,000 cbm Ravenna Knutsen.
