The purpose of the agreement is to investigate bio-LNG bunkering logistics projects that can reduce the carbon footprint of the entire supply chain. They will establish a joint program and implementation timetable for further studies.

The agreement aims to analyse renewable gas services, identify new infrastructures, promote bioLNG and green hydrogen development, and explore funding opportunities. It sets specific objectives to integrate renewable gases into the logistics chain, driven by the European CoreLNGas Hive project, and the future Spanish Hydrogen Backbone Network.

Enagás CEO, Arturo Gonzalo, expects the Huelva Regasification Plant to play a role as an energy hub that strengthens Europe's supply security. The plant is making efforts to enhance capacity, flexibility, and operational availability while also focusing on the decarbonisation process, he said.
