DH Shipbuilding built two such 157,310-dwt ships for the company last year with ammonia bunker fuel options.
In addition to ammonia, the current suezmax-class newbuilds will be able to switch to methanol as a bunker fuel.
Last year, South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries built two LNG-ready very large crude carriers (VLCCs) for Euronav which can be converted to ammonia bunker fuel in the future.
