ExxonMobil expands range of biofuel blends in UK

ExxonMobil Marine said it has started supplying an expanded range of biofuel blends in the UK’s southern ports.

The company now offers FAME-based bio-HSFO and bio-LSMGO blends of up to B30 (with a 30% biofuel component) and can tailor lower blend levels according to buyers’ requirements.

The biofuel will be supplied by its barge fleet to vessels calling at the ports of Plymouth, Portland, Poole, Southampton and Portsmouth.

In June 2024, the company supplied a B7-LSMGO blend to a British Defence Ministry-chartered Ro-Ro vessel. 

ExxonMobil has already been supplying B30-VLSFO and B25-ULSFO blends in the ARA bunkering hub and B24-VLSFO in Singapore since early 2020s.
