Fairfield Chemical adds second LNG dual-fuel vessel to its fleet

The US-based chemical tanker firm Fairfield Chemical Carriers inducted another 26,000-dwt dual-fuel LNG-powered chemical tanker.

The dual-fuel vessel Fairchem Pioneer was delivered by Japan’s Fukuoka Shipbuilding on Thursday.

Fairfield Chemical Carriers is a subsidiary of the Japanese firm, MOL Chemical Tankers.

The vessel is one among a series of four dual-fuel LNG-powered stainless steel chemical tankers Fairfield has ordered from the Fukuoka Shipyard. In November, the firm will receive the Fairchem Prestige, the third vessel in the series.
