The new vessels will be the largest by capacity in the Princess Cruises' fleet. Each ship will have a gross tonnage of 183,000 tonnes and the capacity to accommodate about 4,700 guests, the company said.

The order was formalised during the Seatrade Cruise Global in Miami. The ships will be built at Fincantieri’s Monfalcone shipyard and are scheduled for delivery in 2035, 2038 and 2039.

The vessels will also be the parent company Carnival’s 19th, 20th and 21st ships capable of operating on LNG, according to the press release.

Earlier, Fincantieri built two LNG dual-fuel vessels - Sun Princess and Star Princess - for Princess Cruises, delivered in 2024 and 2025 respectively.
