FIS: Fuel Oil Daily Evening Report

Foreign sales of bunker fuel from China were up 13% on the month in July. VLSFO sales from the country measured 1.6 million mt, compared to June’s 1.408 million mt.
There was volatility in the front-month East-West HSFO spread today. It traded in a range of $6.00/mt. The spread traded between a high of $7.00/mt and low of $1.00/mt.
Rotterdam’s front-month HSFO barge crack settled around $23.00/bbl, down only slightly from its previous $22.80/bbl settlement.
Both Singapore and Rotterdam’s VLSFO cracks were similarly pegged near their previous settlement levels, with Singapore’s up $0.05/bbl to $14.90/bbl, and Rotterdam’s up $0.25/bbl to $8.70/bbl.
