November 1, 2022
A notable mention in the fuel oil markets this week was Rotterdam’s VLSFO crack falling into negative territory. Both the November and December VLSFO contracts are trading below zero, at -$1.50/bbl and -$0.50/bbl, respectively.
Rotterdam’s December HSFO crack has traded a dollar range today. But as we approached the UK close, it was pegged $0.15/bbl stronger than settlement, at -$32.30/bbl.
Singapore’s VLSFO spreads continued to come off in today’s session, printing an intraday low of $12.50/mt for the December-January contract, a $2.50/mt drop from the previous settlement.
