ISCC is a globally recognised sustainability certification system that verifies “compliance with stringent sustainability and carbon reduction criteria.”
The certification process comprises “evaluating the responsible sourcing of raw materials, supply chain management practices, land use, greenhouse gas emissions and social aspects of a company’s activities,” Fratelli Cosulich says.
The receipt of the certification validates that the bunker supplier adheres to high environmental standards and contributes to sustainable efforts.
“We remain committed to reducing our carbon footprint, promoting sustainable practices throughout the maritime industry, and contributing to a greener planet,” Fratelli Cosulich’s head of business development Guido Cardullo says.
In June, Fratelli Cosulich launched its second 8,700 cbm-capacity LNG bunker delivery vessel at CIMC SOE shipyard in China. It launched its first LNG bunker vessel in March.
In April, the company along with Singapore-based SeaTech Solutions received classification society RINA’s approval for an ammonia-powered ammonia bunker tanker.
