The 8,200 cbm-capacity vessel - Alice Cosulich - will be delivered to Titan in the fourth quarter of this year. The vessel will be used to supply LNG and liquefied biomethane (LBM) across Europe.
This deal “enhances our LNG and LBM bunkering capabilities to meet growing demand in Europe,” Titan’s commercial director marine Michael Schaap says.
In March, Titan commissioned the Spanish shipyard Metalships & Docs to retrofit two LNG carriers - Titan Unikum and Titan Vision - to bunker delivery vessels.
Demand for LNG has been increasing worldwide. The global LNG-fuelled fleet is currently made up of 399 vessels, with another 145 expected to join this year, according to the classification society DNV.
