Fujairah bunker sales dropped by 5% in November

Lower sales across all grades contributed to drag Fujairah’s total bunker sales down by 5% in November, according to data compiled by Fujairah Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ) and S&P Global Commodity Insights.


Changes in Fujairah bunker fuel sales from October to November:

  • Total sales down by 5% to 597,000 mt
  • VLSFO sales down by 1% to 396,000 mt
  • HSFO sales down by 12% to 176,000 mt
  • LSMGO sales down by 5% to 22,000 mt


Fujairah's bunker sales dropped to their lowest level since June 2023, with an average of 19,900 mt/day sold in November, a decrease of around 300 mt/day compared to October.

HSFO sales saw a significant decline of 24,000 mt, falling to 176,000 mt in November. This translates to daily sales of 5,900 mt, down from 6,400 mt/day in October. LSMGO sales decreased by 1,200 mt to 22,000 mt.

Meanwhile, VLSFO, the most in-demand product, recorded a reduction of around 4,000 mt in November.

Despite these declines, total bunker sales at Fujairah for the first eleven months of the year were 3% higher than the same period in the previous year.

  • 66% VLSFO 380cst (67% YTD)
  • 0.34% VLSFO 180cst (0.18% YTD)
  • 29% HSFO (28% YTD)
  • 4% LSMGO (4% YTD)
  • 0.04% of 0.50% MGO (0.03% YTD)
