Fujairah bunker sales rose by 2% in January
A spike in HSFO sales contributed to push Fujairah’s total bunker sales higher in January than across December, according to data compiled by Fujairah Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ) and S&P Global Commodity Insights.

Changes in Fujairah bunker fuel sales from December to January:
- Total sales up by 2% to 664,000 mt
- VLSFO sales down by 5% to 433,000 mt
- HSFO sales up by 24% to 205,000 mt
- LSMGO sales steady at 26,000 mt
HSFO sales surged by 39,000 mt to 205,000 mt in January, reaching their highest level in three years. Around 6,600 mt/day of HSFO was sold in January, significantly up from about 5,000 mt/day sold in December.
On the other hand, sales of the most sought-after product, VLSFO, fell by 5%. LSMGO sales remained steady, with December's sales volume of 26,000 mt.
The port’s total bunker sales for the first month of the year were 6% higher compared to a year earlier in January.
