Its exports fell to 30.7 billion cbm between 1 January and 15 March, a 28.% drop compared to the same period last year.
The majority Russia state-owned firm is the world's largest natural gas producer. Western financial and trading sanctions on Gazprom and other Russian entities could threaten flows from the producer, which caters for around 40% of Europe's gas demand.
Gasprom claims that sypply to certain EU countries (excluding major importer Germany) have picked up in the first two weeks of March, and that it has produced 111.5 billion cbm of gas over this period - a similar volume as a year earlier.
“The company continues to deliver gas as requested by consumers in full compliance with contractual obligations,” says Gazprom.
It further states that gas exports to China continue to flow smoothly through the Power of Siberia pipeline.
