Gibraltar bunker calls grew in April
The port of Gibraltar recorded 445 bunker calls in April, registering a 39% increase from March, Gibraltar Port Authority (GPA) figures show.

Gibraltar’s bunker calls, however, declined by 5% from April a year earlier.
The port received 1,503 bunker calls in the first four months of this year, recording a 1% rise from 1,494 ships from the same period last year.
Meanwhile, 41 cruise ships arrived for bunkers in April, an increase from 11 vessels in March. In April 2024, 29 cruise vessels called for bunkering in Gibraltar.
Bunker fuel demand in Gibraltar usually increases with cruise traffic, which peaks during the summer months from April to September.
A total of 60 cruise ships called at Gibraltar in the first four months of this year, an increase from 36 in the same period a year ago.
