Gibraltar bunker calls rise in October

The port of Gibraltar recorded 443 bunker calls in October this year, up from 431 in September, Gibraltar Port Authority (GPA) figures show.

This number marks a significant a year-on-year increase as well, compared to 400 calls in October 2024.

The port received 4,318 bunker calls in the first ten months of this year, increasing 3% from the 4,204 ships that bunkered at the port in the same period last year.

Meanwhile, 33 cruise ships arrived for bunkers in October, up from 20 vessels in September. In the same period last year, 37 cruise vessels had called for bunkering in Gibraltar.

A total of 178 cruise ships called at Gibraltar till October this year, up from 143 in the same period a year ago.
