Gibraltar logs 12% rise in bunker calls in November

Gibraltar recorded 463 bunker calls in November, a 12% increase from a year ago, official figures show.

Gibraltar bunker calls in November were the highest since May this year. The number of ships calling to bunker in November increased by 5% from the preceding month.

The port received 4,416 bunker calls in the first eleven months of this year, up 4% from the same period last year.

Port calls from cruise ships increased slightly in November, with 27 passenger liners arriving at Gibraltar, compared to 24 in the same month last year.

A total of 163 cruise ships called at Gibraltar during the first eleven months of this year, compared to 170 in the same period a year ago.

The port authority does not publish data on bunker sales volumes.
