Headway Technology to supply ammonia fuel supply system to Yuchai Marine

Chinese marine technology company Headway Technology has agreed to provide an ammonia fuel supply system for Yuchai Marine’s ammonia-fuelled low-speed marine engine test platform.

Under an agreement, Headway Technology will supply ammonia fuel storage tanks, fuel supply modules, unloading compressors, delivery pumps, escape absorption systems, combustible gas detection systems, and double-walled pipes for Yuchai Marine’s ammonia-fuelled low-speed marine engine test platform.

This platform is compatible with ammonia-fuelled main engines from engine makers WinGD and MAN Energy Solutions (MAN ES). Headway will handle the project's engineering, design, construction, equipment manufacturing, installation, and commissioning.

Headway's ammonia fuel supply system has obtained approval from classification societies like the China Classification Society (CCS), DNV, and RINA.

Yuchai Marine focuses on developing, designing, producing, and selling marine engines for vessels such as bulk carriers, container ships, tankers, and engineering ships.
