The ten 89,000-DWT vessels will be fitted with MAN Energy Solutions’ dual-fuel engines, capable of running on methanol and conventional marine fuels.
Headway Technology Group will supply systems such as methanol bunkering and transfer systems, methanol fuel treatment units, nitrogen systems, and control and security systems.
These vessels will be built by the China-based Wuhu Shipyard. The first four vessels in this series are expected to be delivered between 2025 and 2026.
Additionally, the Qingdao-headquartered tech company will provide methanol systems for upcoming bunker supplier Fratelli Cosulich’s 7,990-DWT methanol dual-fuel tanker. The tanker will be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2025.
