Himalaya Shipping takes delivery of final dual-fuel bulk carrier

Bermuda-based Himalaya Shipping has taken delivery of the 12th and final in a series of dual-fuel bulk carriers being built by New Times Shipyard in China.

The 210,000-dwt bulk carrier, Mount Emai, can run on both LNG and conventional marine fuels. It will be chartered to an unnamed Japanese shipping company for a period of 23-27 months, with an option for 11-13 months extension.

Earlier this month, the company took delivery of its 11th vessel of the series.
