Himalaya Shipping takes delivery of fourth dual-fuel bulk carrier

Bulk carrier company Himalaya Shipping has taken delivery of the fourth in a series of 12 dual-fuel bulk carriers being built by New Times Shipyard in China.

The 210,000-dwt bulk carrier, Mount Blanc, can run on both LNG and conventional marine fuels. It will be chartered out for a period of 24 months with an evergreen structure. This means the charter agreement will renew automatically at the end of the term.

The company took delivery of its third vessel of the series last month, following the delivery of the first two vessels in March. Six of the remaining vessels are expected to be delivered by the third quarter of next year.
