HMM orders eight LNG dual-fuel container ships

South Korea’s HMM has ordered eight 13,400-TEU LNG dual-fuel container ships from HD Hyundai.

The vessels, which can run on LNG and conventional marine fuels, will be built across HD Hyundai’s subsidiaries: two at HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and six at HD Hyundai Samho.

Sequential deliveries are planned through the first half of 2029.

HMM has not yet shared further details, including deployment plans.
