There are currently 13 vessels waiting to enter the channel inbound and six outbound, Norton Lilly says.

Sources have warned about more disruptions from tomorrow onwards, with thick fog and reduced visibility forecast to continue.

The channel is a key waterway for vessels going in and out of ports in the Houston area, including Galveston, Baytown and Texas City.
