The company has received municipal zoning approval for the project. The integrated facility will include a 270-megawatts (MW) electrolysis unit powered by hydropower to produce green hydrogen on site.
This hydrogen will then be combined with atmospheric nitrogen to produce green ammonia.
Hy2gen Nordic has not yet confirmed the project’s capacity or timeline but indicated that part of the output will be allocated for bunkering.
