Langh Ship's third LNG dual-fuel vessel begins maiden voyage

Finnish shipping company Langh Ship said its final vessel in a series of three dual-fuel multipurpose dry cargo vessels has begun its maiden voyage.

The 7,800-dwt dual-fuel vessel, Sofia, has begun its journey towards Europe through the Singapore Strait and around Africa, Langh Ship said.

The vessel can run on liquefied natural gas (LNG) and conventional marine fuels, the shipping company said earlier.

Sofia will carry stainless steel coils produced by steel producer Outokumpu, between Finland and the Netherlands.

Langh Ship took delivery of the vessel in April 2024.
