Titan currently operates four vessels that supply both LNG and liquefied biomethane (LBM) in European ports. It has also chartered a number of other supply vessels and has two newbuilds under construction that are expected to join its fleet in 2024.
The company says it will not limit itself to supplying LNG in the future, but aims to expand by offering other low and carbon neutral fuels like e-methane, methanol and green ammonia.
"…we recognise that decarbonization will require a range of solutions, and when other alternative fuels become available at scale, we are ready to add them into our supply portfolio," Titan’s chief executive Niels den Nijs said.
Titan has received €4.3 million ($4.5 million) in EU funding to build an LBM production plant in the Netherland's Wilp by 2023 as part of the FirstBio2Shipping project.
