Major Chinese firms partner on alternative fuels

China's shipping and energy majors have launched a new research platform to promote and expand the use of alternative fuels in shipping.

China Classification Society (CCS) has launched a new "Sustainable Shipping Innovation & Development Initiative" with marine industry majors China Petrochemical Corporation, COSCO Shipping Corporation, China Merchants Energy Transportation and ICBC Financial Leasing.
