MAN ES dual-fuel engine orders surpass 1,000 mark

More than two-thirds of MAN Energy Solutions' 1,000 dual-fuel engine orders have been for LNG, followed by LPG and methanol.

The German engine manufacturer says it has a portfolio of dual-fuelled engines that can operate on various fuels, including LNG, methanol, ethane and LPG. And it projects dual-fuel engines to make up 60% of its orderbook in 2026.
The engine manufacturer is expected to reveal its first ammonia-fuelled engine by 2024.
The global LNG fleet is expected to increase from the current 388 vessels, to 816 in 2025, according to the shipping classification society DNV.
