The feeder vessel has been designed to accommodate an ammonia-powered engine from German engine manufacturer MAN Energy Solutions (MAN ES).
MMMCZCS has collaborated with Finnish ship designer Deltamarin to conceptualize the design of the vessel.
The design “incorporates advance risk management… to address challenges of handling ammonia onboard,” said Georgios Atzampos, ship design & transformation manager at MMMCZCS.
