This will kick off Moeve’s bio-bunker deliveries in the Canary Islands, the company said.

The deliveries are linked to Moeve’s long-term supply agreement with Armas Trasmediterránea, which may be extended into 2026.

The product will consist of second-generation biofuels, produced from organic wastes such as used cooking oils, agricultural or livestock residues, and forest biomass. The fuel is processed at Moeve’s San Roque Energy Park in Cádiz and the La Rábida Energy Park in Huelva.

It can then be blended with conventional bunker fuels like VLSFO and LSMGO or be supplied as 100% biofuel (B100) for bunkering.

Moeve already supplies biofuels in several other Spanish ports, including Algeciras, Barcelona, Ceuta and Huelva.
